Plein air painting is resurgent around the country as artists rediscover the joys of painting and observing directly from nature. Whether your primary goal is to exclusively paint outdoors, or whether most of your painting is done in the studio, this workshop will help sharpen your eye and hone your skills. Lisa Egeli will teach her approach to capturing nature's light and beauty through painting outdoors. Emphasis will be on beginning with a well-drawn and composed scene, and progressing to a harmonious painting capturing the light and color of the scene. The Barnacle workshop will focus on the painting of the sky and the waters of Biscayne Bay. Students will start the day with a demo by Lisa and then begin their own work. Each day will close with critiques of the day's work.
